Change in Executive Management at Consultancy Firm ADCONIA

Company founder hands over the reins – dual leadership set to drive the next growth phase

Oberhausen, 1 July / 15 July 2025. ADCONIA GmbH is positioning itself for its next chapter of growth. Founder and majority shareholder Gregor van Ackeren is transferring day-to-day management to long-standing partner Rainer den Ouden. Going forward, den Ouden will head the firm together with Managing Partner Oliver Kreienbrink, who has successfully shared executive responsibility for many years. Van Ackeren will remain actively involved as Senior Partner and Non-Executive Director, focusing on strategic development and key client engagements.

“We are deliberately placing daily operations in experienced yet younger hands without losing our core substance. Rainer den Ouden and Oliver Kreienbrink embody the values that have made ADCONIA successful since 2012: pragmatism, results orientation and deep industry expertise,”
explains Gregor van Ackeren, Senior Partner & Non-Executive Director.

Rainer den Ouden – Consultant with a ‘hands-on DNA’

Den Ouden brings more than 20 years’ experience analysing, optimising and implementing complex process- and finance-driven challenges – from designing efficient value chains (procurement & supply chain) to operations and controlling. His career includes senior roles such as:

  • Senior Team Manager – Procurement Process Management at an international fashion-accessories retailer
  • Global Sourcing Lead at an innovation-driven tech start-up
  • Partner at a renowned boutique consultancy

Since joining ADCONIA in 2018, he has combined rigorous consulting methodology with first-hand line responsibility, giving him a deep understanding of the practical hurdles faced by mid-sized companies.

“Our goal remains clear: ADCONIA will be the premier address for mid-market performance and procurement excellence in the DACH region – with measurable value in every project,”
says Rainer den Ouden.

He is also (co-)author of several industry publications – most recently on Capital Equipment Purchasing – and a sought-after speaker on digitalisation, sustainability and performance improvement in the mid-market.

Together with co-founder and Managing Director Oliver Kreienbrink, den Ouden forms a dual leadership team that guarantees ADCONIA’s trademark client proximity and methodological depth.

Sustainability Subsidiary: Adconterra Remains a Top Priority

Since 2022, den Ouden has additionally served as Managing Partner of Adconterra, ADCONIA’s sustainability consultancy, alongside Sinja Krauskopf. The subsidiary focuses on ESG strategies and mid-market-compatible sustainability solutions, an area of growing importance for SMEs.

Proven Foundation, New Growth Opportunities

With more than 250 successful projects over two decades, ADCONIA is regarded as one of the leading management consultancies for the German-speaking mid-market. The succession now completed secures this foundation while opening new innovation fields – from AI-enabled process analytics to Green-Value and Supply-Chain advisory.
